I’m committed to favor the things I get excited by.
I now learn to get excited by things that I originally didn’t find exciting.
I try to believe in discipline yet learn about yielding.
I’m hard on myself and the people around me, i know that, but it’s because I trust endless research and admire sensitivity.
I was born in a country of conflict and I moved to a country that avoids conflict -now I’m looking for new habits.
It seems I’m always on the search for a new habitat. I want to meet as many people as I can through dance, but otherwise I really don’t try enough when it comes to living among humans.
I feel extremely emotional about animals and nature. I am still learning about relationships and codependency- when I say I'm still learning, I mean to declare that I’m a beginner.
There are few people out there that deserve my apology. There are few people out there that owe me an apology. I’m not so young anymore but not too confident either.
I am a master of crashing hard and all the way down.
I feel high very often- no substance taken.
I am not sure about having kids.
I have a photographic memory.
I’m shy and I can’t shut up.
I’m lazy but never manage to be careless. 
I got a nice resume I promise you and I truly love what I do.
What i do is meaningless without the humans that do it with me.

In addition to the Ate9 board, Catharine has served on the boards of the Music Center, Center Dance Arts, L.A. Dance Project, and Exit Art, and has served on the REDCAT Council. As a Program in the Arts major at Barnard College, she focused on dance criticism. She was the principal of Cosover Creative Media

Ariel Carpenter | Board Member
An award winning writer and communications strategist specializing in arts and entertainment. Previously she was Vice President of Communications for KCETLink Media Group where she oversaw publicity, on-air promotions, advertising and corporate communications. She orchestrated numerous nationally recognized integrated marketing campaigns to support the mission and vision of the organization. She was also a contributing writer to KCET’s Artbound series. Previously, Ms. Carpenter was the director of Public Relations for the University of Southern California where she cultivated angles for promoting select USC initiatives in national media outlets, and shepherded social media efforts university wide. Ms. Carpenter also has served as Senior Vice President for MPRM Communications. Her leadership has been recognized throughout her career, including an Award of Excellence by the Society for New Communications Research for Innovation: Digital and Marketing Experience in Media; two First Place Awards of Excellence from the Publicity Club of Los Angeles and the Greater Los Angeles Press Club; and an Honorable Mention in national Cynopsis Social Good Awards, among others. ​

Deidre Shannon| Board Member
Deidre’s love of dance started early, beginning ballet at the age of 2, and going on to major in Dance at The George Washington University. She is a marketing and events professional with over 15 years in the industry. She is currently on the Brand and Design team at Apple TV+, and previously ran the Creative Services Department at Watermark, part of the Gates Family Office.

 Cheryl Mann| Board Member
Fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a Hubbard Street dancer in 1997. She has been fortunate in her career to travel to and perform in 17 countries, as well as countless domestic cities in the U.S. Ms. Mann retired after 10 1/2 years with the company in October 2007. She received a Ruth Page Award for her performance in
Nacho Duato’s Cor Perdut, and was on the cover of Dance Magazine for the August edition in 2004. She is now the owner of Cheryl Mann Productions, where she travels the world setting dance works for world-renowned choreographers, as well as photographing companies such as Ate9, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, River North Dance Chicago, Ballet Hispanico, Chicago Dancing Festival, Thodos & Dancers, amongst many more. Photography keeps her close to her beloved dance community, and for that, she is grateful.

For the past 10 years she has been Director of Finance of CineSky Pictures, and prior to that, was CFO of National Lampoon, Director of Finance of Element Films, and co-founder of Sideral Productions in Paris.In addition to serving as CFO and board member of Ate9, Lorraine Evanoff has over 20 years of film industry experience.
